"Nous sommes fiers d'annoncer aujourd'hui que notre opéra pour 100 lapins communicants, vient de recevoir l'Award of Distinction Digital Musics du Prix Ars Electronica 2009. La cérémonie aura lieu le 4 septembre à Linz en Autriche au cours du festival qui se tiendra du 3 au 9."

En direct du blog de Jean-Jacques Birgé, compositeur. Et sur le site d'Antoine Schmitt. L'oeuvre : 100 lapins Nabaztag interprètent, tous ensemble, un opéra composé par Antoine Schmitt et Jean-Jacques Birgé.

Prochaines représentations : le 6 septembre à Ars Electronica à Linz (Autriche), le 2 octobre à Metz (Nuit Blanche), etc.

Nabaz'mob, opera for 100 smart rabbits

100 Nabaztag smart rabbits play together an opera specially composed by Antoine Schmitt et Jean-Jacques Birgé.
Inviting John Cage, Steve Reich, Conlon Nancarrow and György Ligeti, this musical and choreographic score
in three movements, transmitted via wi-fi, plays on the tension between the orchestral ensemble
and the individual voices to create a strong and involved showpiece.
This opera questions the issues of working together, organization, decision and control,
which are increasingly central and difficult in our contemporary world.
